VERB: continue in a course of action even in the
face of difficulty or with little or no prospect of success.
We are called and equipped to persevere through our pain whether that be mentally, spiritually or emotionally. Persevere in the storms of life. The storm and pain might be overwhelming and feel as the winds are blowing too strong or fast you might be in a situation where you're wanting to give up, but I want to encourage you to keep on moving!!
I want you to recognize that you are not alone, and you will NEVER be alone. Jesus is with you WHEREVER you go. If you feel like Jesus is distant, that means you have been getting distant with Him. Again, Jesus never leaves you. He is FOR YOU, and not against you. He wants to see you succeed. Know that when you undergo a trial, success and hope is right around the corner. So, when you are in pain know that there is a light at the end of your tunnel, know you will reach the end, you will succeed and find hope in Jesus.
You may be asking yourself: Why does the pain feel like it's never ending? Why does it feel like I can't see a light at the end of the tunnel?
Your first step is to believe and have faith in Jesus and in the Bible that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Begin taking one step at a time, keep getting up, keep pursuing Jesus. God will provide the strength, all you need to do is to keep moving forward even when you don't want to move anymore.
Think of a hiking trail as life for a moment. If you have gotten the chance to hike in your life, hiking trails aren't a straight path. They are curvy, and on an incline. When you hike you want the gorgeous view, so you persevere through the pain until you reach the top of the mountain. When you are at the top of the mountain, you look down and see where you started. You notice that the curvy, incline brought you to a gorgeous view. All your hard work brought you here. This is your reminder to keep preserving through your pain. Remember, the gorgeous view is coming your way. God brought you on this certain path for a reason. Trust Him and the process.
Jeremiah 29:11 - “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to give you hope, and a future.”
Proverbs 16:9 - “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”
Romans 8:28 - “He turns all circumstances out for the good of those who love Him.”
John 5:8 - “Jesus said, “Stand up, pick up your mat and walk!”
If I could tell you one thing it would be to persevere through your pain. Keep taking those steps toward Jesus, get up and keep walking, I promise it'll be rewarding. Jesus is the only one that can protect you at all cost, so keep walking toward Him.
